Girls Night Out

I took Leilani and Tessa to my canning class with me in Provo. We enjoyed ourselves as we learned to make canned syrups and ate a delicious meal.

Happy Late Mothers Day. We had a girls night out with pedicures and then a yummy meal at a Thai Restaurant. Everybody enjoyed themselves and we had a great time!

Good News

Glen has moved on from Title West! It's a big change for everybody and we are getting used to having him home more often.

We welcomed two new additions to the family a few weeks ago. Two Border Collies, Nala and Baloo, are currently in training to become our future farm dogs. Their instincts are already kicking in. They are a handful and have already begun chewing up everything, but we all enjoy having them around, especially Tessa and the grandchildren.

Tessa played on a soccer team this Spring and had a good time. She's pretty good out there! The kids are excited for the Summer, school is out, and we look forward to the warm weather.

Updates on the Farm

A few weeks ago we had an unexpected surprise arrive at the farm. Apparently some honey bees were off looking for a new location to build their hive and they picked the farm. Everybody was a little nervous at first, wondering why the sky was filled with thousands and thousands of Bees. Marc and Casey called up a friend and we were able to put catch the Honey Bees and keep them at the farm. It was a pretty exciting event and we learned a lot. The farm is coming along. We've finished planting our rows and the kids have been working hard putting in the new watering system. Like every summer around here, every pitches in when they can. There is always a lot of work to be done, but we enjoy living here!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! Once again we gathered together as a complete family, minus Kevin, and anticipated the exciting moment of our annual Easter Egg hunt. Glen and I filled several eggs, once again, with money and the older children/adults were ready for the find--forget the candy--they run around and open the eggs till they find one with money. We had some successful hunters! With all eight grandchildren, we enjoyed watching them run around with earnest to try and find their baskets full of surprises. We had a difficult time keeping the younger ones inside. They wanted so badly to find eggs right away! No concept of patience while the eggs were being hidden. But they suffered through the long wait, anxiously sitting with their baskets in hand.

It's a great time of year and we enjoy reflecting on the life our Savior, Jesus Christ, and spending time with those we love. It was a great day!

Team Chear! They were ready to find their baskets!

And the hunt begins! It's a battle out there, with ten children, three in-laws, and eight grandchildren, we have quite the crowd. So watch out!
